Author Diaries Kai’s Journey, Tips for Young Readers/Writers

Behind every magical book, there is a dedicated storyteller. Behind Ella and Ava’s Magical Adventures is Kai Vox. He is a writer whose journey began not in a castle or forest, but in the everyday moments of parenting. Kai built a world inspired by his own children’s imagination and questions, which makes this book a complete package to entertain and empower readers of all ages.

Kai often says that being a parent and a storyteller are deeply connected. Watching his children explore, ask questions, and believe in the impossible reminded him that magic is everywhere. A twig becomes a wand. A shadow becomes a dragon. A quiet moment in nature becomes a doorway to another world. That’s how Ella and Ava’s Magical Adventures was born. Through real conversations and the belief that stories could help children see themselves as brave, kind, and powerful, this book is the result of all these years of imagination and creativity.

For young readers, Kai hopes the book is more than just a tale. He wants it to feel like an invitation, to explore, to ask questions, to dream big. He believes that every child has a spark of magic, and writing is one way to let it shine. “You don’t need to know everything,” he says. “You just need to start with curiosity and honesty. The rest will come.”

Kai offers some advice for aspiring young writers:

Start Small, Dream Big: You don’t need to write a whole book right away. As per Kai, you can start with a paragraph, a journal entry, or a character sketch. All big stories begin with small ideas.

Write What You Love: If you love dragons, write about dragons. If you love space, create galaxies. Your passion will shine through when the story comes from your heart. Do not try to copy others very seriously. You can take inspiration from other authors and work on your own terms to draft a story that speaks of you and your passion.

Ask “What If?” Often: Kai’s favorite question is “What if?” It’s the beginning of every adventure. What if a fairy lived in your backyard? What if trees could talk? What if your stuffed animal was secretly a hero? By asking yourself these questions and exploring these ideas, you will be in a better position to write about a story.

Don’t Fear Mistakes: Every writer edits, rewrites, and stumbles. Even Kai makes mistakes all the time. But that’s how he knows he’s doing the work. You need to know that mistakes aren’t failure, but an opportunity to progress.

Find Your Voice: Your way of seeing the world is unique. Maybe you write with humor, or maybe you like deep emotions. Maybe you love poetry, or maybe you draw and then write. There’s no wrong way to tell a story. Write how you like and try to portray yourself through the characters. It will work wonders.

Most of all, Kai wants young readers to know they are already storytellers. Whether they draw comics, tell wild bedtime tales, or build imaginary kingdoms out of cardboard boxes, they are creating. And that’s what makes a writer.

Ella and Ava’s Magical Adventures may be a story about sisters and magical lands, but at its heart, it’s a love letter to imagination. And Kai Vox, through every word and whimsical moment, invites all of us, be it young or old, to believe in the magic we already carry within.
